Valentinian I, 364-375. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 3.91 g, 6 h), Cyzicus, 364-367. D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I to right. Rev. RESTITVTOR REI PVBLICAE / ✱SMKΓ Valentinian I standing front in military attire, head to right, holding labarum with christogram in his right hand and Victory on globe in his left. Depeyrot 3/1. RIC 2b(2). Rare. Clipped, with a few scrapes and a graffito on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
